Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a serious assault in Narre Warren yesterday, Victoria Police say.
It’s alleged a woman was struck a number of times with an axe at a shopping centre business on Princes Highway in Narre Warren just after 10am.
Detectives have charged a 45-year-old Clyde North man with attempted murder and other assault related charges.
He faced an out of sessions hearing and has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later today.
