Man charged following Springvale bank fire

Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad have charged a man following a fire at a bank in Springvale last year, Victoria Police say.

A 21-year-old Springvale man has been charged with 92 offences including:

• Conduct Endangering Life

• Criminal Damage – Endanger Life

• Criminal Damage by Fire

• Gross Violence

• Intentionally Cause Serious Injury

• Recklessly Cause Serious Injury

The man faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon and was remanded to appear again on 11 May.

There were 36 people injured during the fire, which occurred at the Springvale Road business at 11.30am on 18 November, 2016.
