Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a man in relation to the 2016 death of Joseph Acquaro, Victoria Police say.
A 69-year-old from Reservoir was arrested in Ringwood about 9.45am today, following an extensive investigation.
He has been charged with murder.
54-year-old Joseph Acquaro was found deceased in St Phillips Street, near the corner of Lygon Street, in Brunswick east about 3am on 15 March 2016.
The 69-year-old man will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon where investigators will seek to have him remanded in custody.
