Man charged following wilful and obscene exposure in Newcastle

A man will face court tomorrow following an alleged wilful and obscene exposure incident at Newcastle today, NSW Police say.

Just after 11.30am (Friday 30 November 2018), police attended the ocean baths known as ‘The Bogey Hole’ at Newcastle, after a man was allegedly seen conducting an indecent act in view of the public.

Officers from Newcastle City Police District located a man nearby. He was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station.

The 55-year-old man was charged with wilful and obscene exposure in/near public place, commit act of indecency with person 16 years or over, and commit act of indecency with person under 16 years.

He was refused bail and will appear in Newcastle Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 1 December 2018).
