Sex Crime Squad detectives have charged a man for allegedly failing to comply with a court order.
On Thursday 29 January 2026, officers attached to State Crime Command's Sex Crimes Squad observed a 34-year-old man at a shopping centre in North Sydney, allegedly loitering in areas where children frequent.
Detectives from Sex Crimes Squad Child Protection Register commenced immediate inquiries to arrest him.
On Friday 30 January 2026, investigators observed the man boarding a train bound for Lithgow.
Police arrested him when he arrived at Lithgow about 1.50pm, and he was taken to Lithgow Police Station.
He was charged with fail to comply with reporting obligations and contravene prohibition order.
The 34-year-old was refused bail and appeared at Bail Division Local Court on Saturday 31 January 2026.
He was further refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court today (Tuesday 3 February 2026).
