Man charged for Frankston South aggravated burglary

Police have charged a man following an aggravated burglary in Excelsior Drive, Frankston South yesterday, Victoria Police say.

The man was arrested yesterday afternoon after presenting at a hospital with injuries sustained during an altercation with the occupants during the burglary about 3.45am.

The 36-year-old was discharged from hospital about 9.30am and taken into custody by detectives from the Frankston Embona Armed Robbery Task Force.

Detectives charged the Mornington man with aggravated burglary with offensive weapon, aggravated burglary with a person present, common law assault, theft and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

He is expected to appear before the Frankston Magistrate’s Court later today.
