Man Charged for Threatening Scooter Rider in Malvern

A man has been charged following an alleged road rage incident which occurred in Malvern on Tuesday 2 May.

It's understood a man was riding an electric scooter near the Normanby Road underpass about 4.30pm.

A silver Volkswagen Jetta sedan allegedly followed the scooter and two males got out of the car and approached the scooter riding while brandishing weapons.

It's alleged a bottle was thrown at the scooter rider who managed to flee.

The males returned to the car and drove away.

An 18-year-old Ferntree Gully man has been arrested and charged with affray.

He was bailed to appear before Ringwood Magistrate's Court on 2 June.
