Man Charged in David Khou Murder

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man for his alleged role in the murder of David Khou.

About 6.50pm on Sunday 29 December 2024, emergency services were called to St Johns Road in Canley Heights following reports of a shooting.

A 31-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for gunshot wounds; however, he could not be revived.

The man has since been identified as David Khou.

A short time later, emergency services were called to an abandoned car alight on Bathurst Street in Wakeley.

State Crime Command's Homicide Squad with detectives from Fairfield City Police Area Command established Strike Force Loughrea to investigate.

Two men – aged 33 and 22 – have since been charged and remains before the courts.

Following extensive inquiries, about 7am yesterday (Wednesday 25 March 2026) strike force detectives – with assistance from the Raptor Squad – executed a search warrant at a home in Fairfield West.

A 30-year-old man was arrested and taken to Cabramatta Police Station, where he was charged with murder, damage property by fire/explosives, knowingly/recklessly direct criminal group assist crime, fail to comply digital evidence access order direction and be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner.

He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Thursday 26 March 2026).
