A man has faced court after an investigation into alleged child abuse offences in the state's west.
On Wednesday 6 May 2026, officers from Orana Mid Western Police District commenced an investigation into the activities of a man from Junee.
Following inquiries, officers from Riverina Police District executed a search warrant at an address in Junee and arrested a 36-year-old man.
During the search warrant, police located and seized electronic devices and a Ford utility.
The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with:
- Contravene prohibition order (three counts)
- Use carriage service make available child abuse
- Use carriage service to menace/harass/offend; and
- Cause child (over or equal to 14 and under 18) to do act of child prostitution.
He was refused bail and appeared at Bail Division Court 5 on Wednesday 13 May 2026 where he was again refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Thursday 23 July 2026.
