A man has been charged following several alleged peep and pry incidents in Sydney's inner west.
In August 2025, Inner West Detectives launched Strike Force Tuclin to investigate several peep and pry and sexual act offences in Sydney's Inner West.
Between Sunday 18 May 2025 and Tuesday 21 October 2025, in the early hours of the morning, police were called to a home in Harnett Avenue, Marrickville, on five separate occasions following reports a woman could her a man attempting to speak to her through her window.
The man fled the scene before the arrival of police on all occasions.
About 3.30am on Saturday 21 June 2025, police were called to a home in Livingstone Road, Marrickville, following reports a man was allegedly attempting to speak to a female occupant through a window.
The man fled the scene before the arrival of police.
About 1.30am on Tuesday 29 October 2025, investigators were conducting surveillance in Hartnett Street, Marrickville when they allegedly observed a man walking along the footpath of Hartnett Street before he entered the front yard of a home and allegedly peered through a window.
Police attempted to speak with the man before he ran from the scene.
Officers arrested a 64-year-old man in a nearby carpark.
The man was taken to Newtown Police Station where he was charged with 7 counts of peep or pry, destroy or damage property, custody of a knife in a public place – first offences, and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 on Thursday 30 October 2025.
