Cumberland Police have charged a man after he allegedly stabbed two other men at Merrylands Railway Station yesterday.
Around 1.45pm (Wednesday 17 September 2025), police were called to Merrylands Railway Station, following reports of multiple assaults.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command responded to find two men – aged 21 and 23 – had both been stabbed by an unknown man.
Police were told the younger man had been stabbed in the chest and arm following a verbal altercation in the carriage, before the unknown men left the carriage and stabbed the older man in the arm on the platform.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the two men who were transported to hospital in stable conditions.
Police established a crime scene and Cumberland detectives commenced an investigation into the incident.
About 3pm the same day a 34-year-old man was arrested at a home on Woodville Road, Guildford, before being taken to Granville Police Station.
He was charged with reckless wounding and aggravated assault with intent to rob.
The 34-year-old was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 18 September 2025).
