A man has been charged with affray as police continue to investigate a stabbing at Blacktown early this morning, NSW Police say.
Police were called to a car park on Alpha Street at Blacktown about 3.15am today, following reports of a brawl.
Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station, where he was interviewed and charged with affray.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court on 2 November 2017.
Police seized a knife from the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Inquiries suggest the two men are known to each other. At this stage the injured man is not assisting police with their investigation.
