A man has been charged over two armed robberies and an attempted armed robbery in the Logan area including an alleged armed robbery incident at a convenience store at Marsden yesterday afternoon, Queensland Police say.
It is alleged around 4.40pm yesterday afternoon a man has entered the Barklya Place and requested cigarettes and other food items from the store attendant. The items were placed into a shopping bag and the attendant requested payment at which time the man has allegedly grabbed the bag. The female store attendant attempted to grab the bag back at which time the man then allegedly produced a knife.
The man has allegedly fled the store with the shopping bag of items.
No one was physically injured in the incident.
The man has also been charged in relation to the alleged armed robbery of the fast food store at Chambers Flat Road at Marsden around 12.30pm on December 31, 2017. During the robbery it is alleged a knife was used to steal money.
He has also been charged over the alleged attempted armed robbery of an Asian grocery store at Bourke Street at Waterford West around 9.20am on January 1, 2018. During the incident it is alleged a man entered the premises armed with a knife but was unable to obtain any property or money.
A 20-year-old Marsden man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery.
He is expected to face the Beenleigh Court today.
