A man has been charged over the alleged attempted sexual assault of a woman and the indecent assault of four others in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, NSW Police say.
About 6.10pm on Tuesday 5 April 2016, a 38-year-old woman was walking on Willis Lane, Kingsford, when she was grabbed from behind and dragged backwards by a man.
The man attempted to sexually assault the woman before she was released, suffering injuries to her legs as a result of the attack.
About 8.55pm on Thursday 8 December 2016, a 25-year-old woman was walking on Barker Street, Kingsford, when she was indecently assaulted by a man and pushed into a wall.
About 7.30pm on Sunday 12 February 2017, an 18-year-old woman was at the front of a unit complex on Cowper Street, Randwick, when she was indecently assaulted by a man.
About 6.30pm on Sunday 19 February 2017, an 18-year-old woman was at the front of a unit complex on Alison Road, Randwick, when she was approached and indecently assaulted by a man.
About 8.30pm on Wednesday 22 February 2017, a 21-year-old woman was at the front of a unit complex on Forsyth Street, Kingsford, when she was approached and indecently assaulted by a man.
Following extensive inquiries by police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command, about 10am today (Friday 17 November 2017), a 46-year-old man was arrested at an address on Meeks Street, Kingsford.
He was charged with inflict actual bodily harm with intent to have sexual intercourse, and four counts of indecent assault.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Saturday 18 November 2017).
