A 41-year-old Southern Tasmanian man has been charged for allegedly possessing child exploitation material following an investigation by the Tasmanian Joint Anti Child Exploitation team, comprising Tasmania Police and the Australian Federal Police.
The man has been charged with possessing or controlling child abuse material obtained using a carriage service, contrary to s. 474.22A of the Commonwealth Criminal Code 1995.
He will reappear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 27 August 2024.
