Man charged over drug supply in Sydney's south-west

A man has been charged and drugs seized following a search warrant in Sydney’s south-west today, NSW Police say.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Firearms Squad established Strike Force Expedient to investigate the supply of firearms and other criminal activity across Sydney.

As part of ongoing investigations, strike force officers executed a search warrant with the assistance of South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad at a home on North Liverpool Road, Heckenberg, just after 7am today.

During the warrant, police seized 6.5kg of vacuum-packed cannabis and 28g of white powder, believed to be cocaine, which was located in a freezer.

The total estimated potential street value of the drugs seized is more than $175,000.

Police located two men, aged 33 and 36; a 35-year-old woman, and four children, aged one, three, four, and five; inside the home.

The 33-year-old man was subsequently arrested and taken to Green Valley Police Station, where he was charged with three counts of drug supply.

He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Thursday 24 August 2017.

Investigations are continuing.

Police are liaising with other agencies about the presence of children in the home.
