A 45 year old man has been charged with arson over a house fire in Elderslie in February, Tasmania Police say.
On Saturday 10 February 2018 at approximately 12:18am Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended a report of a house fire at 1826 Elderslie Road, Elderslie.
The fire was extinguished by fire crews a short time later and damage was estimated at approximately $200,000. The fire was determined as deliberate.
A 45 year old man was today charged with arson and will appear in Hobart Magistrates Court on 23 April at 9.30am.
Investigations were conducted by Bridgewater CIB and any further relevant information can be provided by contacting 131444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
