Man charged over firearm possession in Glendenning

Police have charged one man with firearm offences following an argument in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

About 5.30pm yesterday, a 28-year-old man attended a licensed premises on Richmond Road, Plumpton when he became involved in an argument with a group of men.

It will be alleged the group of men made several threats to the 28-year-old man.

A short time later, another two men attended the location and a 24-year-old man became involved in the argument.

The 28-year-old man was seen leaving the venue and heading to a vehicle in the car park.

Officers attached to Mt Druitt Local Area Command attended the location and arrested a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old man.

A 28-year-old man was charged with possess loaded firearm in public place, affray, not keep firearm safely-prohibited firearm, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit and possess unauthorised pistol.

He was refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court today.

A 24-year-old man was charged with affray.

He was granted conditional bail to appear Mt Druitt Local Court on Thursday 21 July 2016.
