A 20-year-old Clarendon Vale man has been charged in relation to an armed robbery that occurred at the Big Bargain Bottleshop at Howrah on the morning of 29 December, Tasmania Police say.
The firearm used during the robbery was recovered during the investigation.
Enquiries are continuing as to the identity of a second person who was riding a smaller capacity road bike that had light coloured front forks and very little fairings. He was wearing dark clothing and a full-faced helmet.
The two offenders left on the motorcycle travelling in the Rokeby direction. The motorcycle is yet to be located.
Police are particularly interested to hear from members of the public with any observations or footage of any similar motorcycles in the Clarendon Vale, Rokeby, Glebe Hill and Howrah areas around the time of the incident.
