Man charged over Lockleys cannabis crop, SA

A Seaton man will face court on drug charges after police found more than 75kg of dried cannabis at a Lockleys home yesterday, according to SA Police.

On Wednesday 28 June, Detectives from Sturt CIB raided a Lockleys home allegedly locating 76kg of packaged dried cannabis, as well 40 cannabis plants being grown hydroponically as well as various pieces of equipment used for cultivating cannabis.

As a result, a 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of controlled drug, cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis and possession of prescribed equipment.

The arrested man has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 22 August.

Sturt CIB are investigating further, anyone with information on the location or sale of cannabis, or any illicit drug is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
