Man Charged Over Serious Assaults in Frankston South

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after four people were allegedly assaulted in Frankston South on 23 August.

Investigators were told a man armed with a hockey stick allegedly assaulted a man in Casuarina Drive around midday and then allegedly assaulted three women walking in the vicinity of Saltwater Creek Reserve.

Detectives arrested a 38-year-old man from Frankston yesterday and he has subsequently been charged with a string of assault-related offences including recklessly cause injury, intentionally cause injury and assault with a weapon.

He has been remanded in custody to face Frankston Magistrates' Court today.
