Police have charged a man following an alleged sexual assault in Sydney’s East, NSW Police say.
About 3am on Sunday 15 May 2016, a woman left a licensed premises on Avoca Street Randwick.
Police have been told as the woman attempted to make her way home, she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 55-year-old man.
Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Local Area Command were contacted and commenced an investigation.
Just before 4pm yesterday today, a 55-year-old man attended Maroubra Police Station where he was arrested and charged with sexual assault without consent.
He was granted conditional bail to appeal at Waverly Local Court on Wednesday 3 August 2016.
