Man charged over stabbing in Pyrmont

A man has been charged following a stabbing at a home in Pyrmont overnight.

About 12.25am (Tuesday 15 January 2019), emergency services were called to a house on Little Mount Street, Pyrmont, following reports of an assault.

It's alleged two men – aged 25 and 32 – who are known to each other, were involved in an altercation, before the older man was stabbed.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The 32-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The 25-year-old-man was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.

He was charged with reckless wounding (DV) and refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Tuesday 15 January 2019).
