Man charged over stabbing - Lavington

A man will face court after allegedly stabbing another man in Lavington today.

About 2.20am (Monday 26 June 2023), emergency services were called to Boomerang Drive, Lavington, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Officers from Murray River Police District attended and located a 47-year-old man with a stab wound to his head and neck.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Albury Base Hospital in a critical condition.

Following inquiries, investigators arrested a 32-year-old man at a home in Springdale Heights about 7.15am today (26 June 2023).

He was taken to Albury Police station where he was charged with causing wounding/ grievous bodily harm to person with intention to murder.

He was refused bail to appear at Albury Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 27 June 2023).
