Man charged over steal from motor vehicle incidents in Northern Beaches PAC

A man has been charged over 10 steal from motor vehicle incidents on the Northern Beaches, NSW Police say.

On Thursday (24 May 2018), police received multiple reports in relation to steal from motor vehicle incidents in Cromer.

Officers from Northern Beaches Proactive Crime Team commenced inquiries.

About 7.30am yesterday (Friday 25 May 2018), investigators arrested a 20-year-old man at an address on Fisher Road North, Cromer, while a search warrant was being executed in relation to a separate incident.

During the search warrant, police allegedly located numerous items believed to be stolen during the incidents, including cash, bank cards, and identification cards.

He was taken to Dee Why Police Station and charged with 23 offences, including steal from motor vehicle (x10), larceny (x6), goods in custody (x6) and fraud.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 26 May 2018).

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
