Detectives have charged a man with alleged historic child sexual assaults over 30 years ago.
In July 2025, officers attached to St George Police Area Command commenced Strike Force Pomore to investigate multiple reports of historical sexual assaults allegedly committed by a man, who is now 74-year-old, in the Kogarah Bay area.
Following extensive inquiries, about 7.30am yesterday (Tuesday 10 March 2026), investigators executed a search warrant at a home on Walpole Avenue, in Ulladulla.
A 74-year-old man was arrested at the property and taken to Ulladulla Police Station.
He was charged with 58 offences including 22 counts of aggravated sex assault-victim under the age of 16 years, 18 counts of aggravated indecent assault-victim under the age of 16 yrs, 10 counts of indecent assault where victim under the age of 10 years, and 11 other related offences.
He was refused bail to appear before a Bail Division Court today (Wednesday 11 March 2026).
Police will allege the man committed the offences against six children between 1984 and 2001.
