Man charged with accessory after the fact to the murder of Brayden Dillon, NSW

Detectives have charged a fourth person as investigations continue into the murder of a teenager from Sydney’s south-west last year, NSW Police say.

Police were called to a home on Moresby Avenue, Glenfield, about 6.10am on Friday 14 April 2017, and found 15-year-old Brayden Dillon in bed with a gunshot wound to his head.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition, where he later died.

An investigation was launched by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Campbelltown City Police Area Command under Strike Force Wongala.

Three people have previously been charged by investigators. They remain before the courts.

Following further investigations, Strike Force Wongala investigators arrested a 23-year-old man at Surry Hills Police Station just after 9am today (Monday 24 September 2018).

He was charged with accessory after the fact to murder, knowingly participate in criminal group assist crime, and do act with intent to pervert the course of justice.

Police will allege in court that the man negotiated and facilitated the provision of false affidavits on behalf of other people and passed information relating to the murder between various people.

The Condell Park man has been refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today.

Investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone with information that may assist Strike Force Wongala detectives to call Crime Stoppers.
