A man will face court today with allegedly possessing child abuse material in Sydney's west.
In June 2025, detectives attached to Blacktown Police Area Command commenced an investigation into online child abuse videos.
As part of ongoing inquiries, about 6:45am on Wednesday,5 November 2025, investigators stopped a vehicle at Doonside, seizing two mobile phones.
On the same day, a search warrant was subsequently executed at a home in Guerin Street, Doonside, where a 22-year-old man was arrested.
He was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with:
- Use carriage service to access child abuse material (two counts),
- Use carriage service to make available child abuse material (two counts)
Following further inquiries, about 7pm yesterday (Thursday 4 December 2025), the same man was arrested at Blacktown Police Station and charged with:
- Use carriage service to make available child abuse material,
- Use carriage service to access child abuse material (two counts)
- Possess bestiality material, and
- Disseminate bestiality material
He was refused bail and is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court today, Friday 5 December 2025
