Man Charged With Child Sex Offences

Child Abuse Squad detectives have charged a man with multiple alleged child sex offences after his extradition from Queensland yesterday.

In June 2025, officers attached to State Crime Command's Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation into a 38-year-old man following allegations of a child sex offences.

The allegations involved a number of sexual offences committed against a young girl known to him.

On Tuesday 4 November 2025, Queensland Police Service assisted in the arrest of a 38-year-old man in Ormiston.

That same day, Child Abuse Squad detectives applied for – and were granted – the man's extradition to NSW.

With assistance from South Sydney Police Area Command, the man was escorted to Mascot Police Station about 2.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 5 November 2025), where the outstanding warrant was executed.

The man was charged with 18 offences, including four counts of sexual intercourse with child under age of 10 years (DV), three counts of Have sexual intercourse with child >=10 & <14 years, two counts of sexual intercourse with child under age of 10 years (DV), eight counts of indecent assault person under 16 years of age (DV) and intentionally sexually touch child >=10yrs & < 16yrs (DV).

He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Local Court 7 today (Thursday 6 November 2025).
