Man Charged With Domestic Violence in Albury

A man will face court following alleged DV offences in the state's south.

About 3am today (Wednesday 31 December 2025), officers attached to Murray River Police District attended a home on Bateman Place, North Albury, following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

Police arrested a 37-year-old a home in Bateman Place by virtue of an outstanding arrest warrant.

He was taken to Albury Police Station where the warrant was executed, and he was charged with:

  • Possess housebreaking implements
  • Contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic violence)
  • Stalk, intimidate intend fear physical harm
  • Commit s114 offence, having previous conviction

He was refused bail to appear before Albury Local Court on Tuesday 13 January 2026.
