Man charged with drug supply, NSW

A man has faced court after heroin and ice were allegedly found in his vehicle on the state's mid north coast this morning.

About 3.30am (Saturday 12 January 2019), police from Mid North Coast Police District stopped a Toyota Camry on the Pacific Highway at Port Macquarie.

It is alleged the 62-year-old male driver got out of the car and attempted to dispose of drugs, namely seven grams of heroin and sixteen grams of methyl-amphetamine (ice).

The man was arrested and taken to Port Macquarie Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of drug supply.

He appeared before Port Macquarie Bail Court today (Saturday 12 January 2019). Conditional bail was granted, and he is next due to appear in Kempsey Local Court on 21 January 2019.
