Man Charged With Drug, Traffic Offenses After Stop

Scottsdale Police have charged a 69-year-old South Launceston man with a number of drug and traffic offences following a traffic intercept at Legerwood yesterday.

Shortly before 3pm officers stopped a blue Subaru on the Tasman Highway for a routine traffic intercept.

The man was arrested and charged with drug and traffic matters and has been bailed to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on 22 April 2026.

Scottsdale Police acknowledge the ongoing support of the community and remain committed to road safety enforcement. Police will continue to target drink and drug drivers.
