Man charged with drug trafficking at Devon Park, SA

A Prospect man has been arrested on drug trafficking charges following a routine traffic stop at Devon Park overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 11.30pm, a police patrol stopped a car on Bollingbroke Avenue, after they noticed the vehicle driving suspiciously through backstreets.

On speaking to the driver, the patrol officers searched the car allegedly locating 8 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

A warrant was obtained to search the man's house, where police also found three cannabis plants, some dried cannabis, more methamphetamine and a taser.

The 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, cultivate cannabis and possessing a prohibited weapon.

The arrested man has been bailed with conditions to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
