Man Charged With Drugs, Weapons Offenses in Orange

A man has been charged with a number of drug and weapons offences in the state's west.

About 9.30am today (Thursday 25 September 2025), officers attached to Central West Police District Proactive Crime Team conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order compliance check at a house on Elise Street, Orange.

During a search of the property, police located an amount of prohibited drugs, various weapons and an amount of ammunition.

A 38-year-old man was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for three counts of possess drug (not cannabis leaf/MDMA) not exceed small quantity, two counts of possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, use prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority and acquire etc ammunition subject to prohibition order.

He is due to appear before Orange Local Court on Thursday 6 November 2025.

A 45-year-old woman at the property was issued a cannabis caution.
