Man Charged With Mid-Range PCA After Goulburn Chase

About 4:30am today, (Sunday 6 July 2025), police were conducting patrols in Hume Street, Goulburn when they observed a Holden Commodore allegedly driving dangerously.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District signalled for the driver to stop, however when the vehicle failed to stop as directed a pursuit was initiated.

A short time later the vehicle stopped in Clinton Street, Goulburn.

The driver, a 20-year-old man was subjected to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police station where a secondary breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.115

He was charged with police pursuit -not stop-drive recklessly, operate vehicle so driving wheel/s undergo loss of traction, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous- drive with mid- range PCA.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday 20 August 2025.
