A man will appear before court charged with multiple property offences in the states west.
Between Sunday (19 July 2026) and yesterday (Monday 20 July 2026), police will allege that a number of homes were broken into and persons threatened in the township of Gilgandra.
Following extensive inquiries, officers from the Orana Mid-Western Police District – with the assistance of the Operational Support Group and the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command – arrested a 30-year-old man at a caravan park on Miller Street, Gilgandra.
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with five offences including:
- Larceny value <=$2000 (two counts)
- Demand property with menaces with intent to steal
- Enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence
- Break & Enter house etc steal value <= $60,000
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court Four today (Tuesday 21 July 2026).
Investigations are ongoing.
