Man charged with murder following stabbing in Woolloomooloo

A 40-year-old man will face court tomorrow charged with murder after another man was stabbed at Woolloomooloo earlier today, NSW Police say.

Just after 9am today, emergency services attended Talbot Street following reports a man had been stabbed.

Emergency services located a 38-year-old man who had suffered a stab wound.

The man was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics and conveyed to St Vincent’s Hospital where he died a short time later.

Officers from Kings Cross Local Area Command arrested a 40-year-old man at a mall in Potts Point just after 11.30am today.

The man was taken to Kings Cross Police Station where he was charged with murder.

He was refused bail and will appear at Central Local Court tomorrow.
