Man charged with murder, NSW

A man has been charged with murder following a stabbing at a Bossley Park hair salon.

About 12.40pm (Friday 11 January 2019) emergency services were called to a hair salon on Mimosa Road, where they found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to his upper body.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he died about 5pm.

Following inquiries, an 18-year-old man was arrested at a home in Tallowood Crescent, Bossley Park, just before 5pm and was taken to Fairfield Police Station.

Strike Force Etival was established by officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command – with assistance from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad – to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The 18-year-old man has now been charged with murder; he's been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 12 January 2019).
