Man Charged With Negligent Driving Following Huonville Crash, TAS

Following a serious single vehicle crash on the Huon Highway at Huonville on Saturday night police have charged a 30-year-old Lucaston man with, Tasmania Police say:

  • Negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm
  • Drive under the influence of intoxicating liquor and a drug
  • Drive without due care and attention
  • Drive while not the holder of a driver licence.

The man appeared before the Hobart Magistrates Court this morning and was detained to re-appear on 6 February.

A 21-year-old man remains in a critical condition in the Royal Hobart Hospital.
