Browns Plains police have charged a man in relation to a clandestine drug lab that was uncovered at Marsden this morning, Queensland Police say.

Following investigations, officers attended a private residence at Kim Street around 10am, where they discovered an alleged active ‘One Pot’ methamphetamine laboratory.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Branch and Illicit Laboratory Investigation Team attended the scene and an emergency situation was declared under the Public Safety Preservation Act until the area was deemed safe.

A 32 year-old Marsden man has now been charged with one count each of producing and possessing dangerous drugs, as well as possessing utensils.

He is scheduled to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday May 28, 2018.
