Man charged with St Helena burglary and assault

Police from Banyule Crime Investigation have charged a man following a burglary and assault in St Helena last week.

It is alleged a man entered a residential property on Glen Katherine Drive some time before 2.50pm on 29 January.

Two male residents were allegedly assaulted when they disturbed the man.

One of the residents sustained a cut to his arm.

Investigators attended a Yarrambat address and arrested the man at 10am today.

The 22 year old, who was also wanted on warrant, was interviewed and charged with burglary and assault.

The Yarrambat man will appear at the Heidelberg Magistrates court today.
