A man will appear in court following a domestic-related incident at Broken Hill where a woman was allegedly assaulted and detained.
About 10pm yesterday (Wednesday 10 April 2019), a man and woman became involved in a verbal argument at a house in Blende Street.
It is alleged the man assaulted the woman and dragged her into a room before detaining her.
The woman was able to leave the house where she sought help from a neighbours house and police were contacted.
Police arrived and arrested a 29-year-old man. He was taken to Broken Hill Police Station and charged with assault, intimidation and kidnapping.
He was refused bail and appeared at Broken Hill Local Court today and granted conditional bail to reappear on 11 June 2019.
