Man critical after stabbing in North Bondi

A man has sustained critical injuries after being stabbed in a unit at North Bondi this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to the unit on Military Road, North Bondi, about 12.30am (Sunday 26 August 2018), and found a 26-year-old man with severe abdominal and head injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he is reported to be in a critical condition.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene, but has been taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment for a facial injury. He remains under police guard.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command have been told the men began arguing after a night out together before the younger man was injured.

An extensive crime scene is currently being processed by officers from the Forensic Services Group, while detectives speak with witnesses.
