Three men have been charged and another is in a critical condition following a brawl in Sydney's CBD overnight.
About 2.35am today (Sunday 21 September 2025), emergency services were called to George Street, Sydney after reports of a brawl.
Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command attended and were told a man had allegedly been assaulted by group of people before they left the scene.
The man – aged 20 – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for head injuries before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a serious condition. Police have since been told the man's condition has worsened and that he remains in a critical condition.
Following initial inquiries, police arrested three men – aged 25, 20, and 19 – nearby before taking the two younger men to Day Street Police Station and the older man to Surry Hills Police Station.
The 19-year-old and 20-year-old were both charged with reckless grievous bodily harm - in company and affray.
The 25-year-old was charged with affray.
All three were refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 7 tomorrow (Monday 22 September 2025).
