Man critically injured during assault, police appeal for information on Mudgee

Police are appealing for information after a man was critically injured in the state's Central West.

Between 2am and 4am yesterday (Wednesday 17 July 2019), a 22-year-old man has left his Inglis Street home at Mudgee for unknown reasons.

About 1.30pm that afternoon, the man was located by his partner in the laundry of the home suffering significant bruising to his face, head, and lower body.

The man was taken to Mudgee Hospital by ambulance, before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital Sydney where he remains in a critical condition.

Police attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District established a crime scene at the Inglis Street home and are continuing investigations into the incident.
