Man critically injured in crash - South Hurstville

A man is in a critical condition following a crash at South Hurstville today.

Emergency services were called to King Georges Road about 6.15am (Sunday 14 April 2019), after a northbound Mazda sedan collided with two vehicles in the southbound lanes.

The Mazda caught alight after impact.

The driver, a 45-year-old man, was pulled from the car by a member of the public before being taken to St George Hospital with critical injuries. He has now been transferred to Royal North Shore Hospital.

The two other drivers weren't injured and were taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
