Man dies after being pulled from surf in Kioloa

A man has died after being pulled unresponsive from the water in Shoalhaven tonight, NSW Police say.

About 6.25pm today, emergency services were called to Merry Beach at Kioloa, following reports a 56-year-old Kensington man had been located unconscious in the surf.

The man was unresponsive when removed from the water and CPR was commenced.

NSW Ambulance paramedics continued CPR, but the man could not be revived.

Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

A brief will be prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
