A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Sydney's north west.
About 2.30pm today (Tuesday 31 March 2026), emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, Colyton, following reports a man had been hit by a car.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to treat the man – believed to be aged in his 30s – however; died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances of the crash.
The driver – a 32-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory testing.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Motorists travelling west on the highway are being diverted into Hewitt Street and are advised to avoid the area as closures will be in place for a significant amount of time.
