Man dies after being struck by car - Edmondson Park

A man has died after being hit by a car in Sydney's south-west today.

Just before 5.30am (Wednesday 22 April 2020), emergency services were called to Croatia Avenue, Edmondson Park, after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

Police have been told the man, aged in his 30s, was walking along Croatia Avenue with a relative when he was hit by the car.

He was treated at the scene, however efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The driver, a man aged in his mid-30s, has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing. He was uninjured.

The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit have commended an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
