Man dies after crash - Chipping Norton

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south west today.

About 10.45am (Thursday 23 December 2021), emergency services were called to Governor Macquarie Drive, Chipping Norton after reports of a head-on collision involving a truck and car.

The driver of a Honda Civic died on scene and is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be an 18-year-old man.

The truck driver – a 35-year-old man – was trapped for a short time before being freed and taken to Liverpool Hospital with minor injuries and for mandatory testing.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
